Peel a tag
Each tag is a thin label, 18 × 30 mm (about ¾ × 1¼ in), on a liner. One tag per machine.

On your next service visit, stick it to the inside wall of the cold cabinet. Nothing to wire into the controller, and nothing to set up at the location.

The machine joins your route in the Thermly app. When a reading comes in warm, Thermly asks the location or you to check, with a likely cause, and follows up with the next person on your list if nobody answers.
No internet setup required. Readings come in through the Thermly network.

What does the tag report?
Two things: the temperature inside the machine, each reading with its time, and that the tag is still there. It doesn't connect to the machine, so it can't see the door, the compressor or your sales. Thermly compares each reading with that machine's normal and suggests a likely cause. It doesn't diagnose the machine.
Do I need Wi-Fi, a gateway or power at the location?
No. Nothing plugs in, there's no gateway box, and you never ask the location for a Wi-Fi password. No internet setup is required: readings come in through the Thermly network.
How often do readings come in?
Readings depend on the place. Tell us where your machine sits and we'll be straight with you about how it would work there.
What happens when a machine reads warm?
Thermly flags it in the app and texts whoever you choose for that machine, often the location contact first, to check the door and read the display. The text gives the reading and its time, and suggests a likely cause, like a door that may not be sealing or a machine that hasn't recovered after the last restock.
If they don't reply, Thermly asks the next person you've listed. If it needs a tech, Thermly sends the details with your OK, then keeps showing the readings after the repair, each with its time.
What if a machine isn't heard from?
Thermly says so. No reading isn't the same as fine, so the app shows that machine as unknown, with the time it was last heard. If it usually reports often, Thermly asks the location whether it's lit and running.
Does it work in frozen food machines?
Not yet. We're still proving the tag at freezer temperatures, and we'll say so here when it's ready. Cold drink, fresh food and combo machines work today.
How do I put a tag in?
Peel it off its liner and stick it to the inside wall of the cold cabinet on your next service visit. That's the whole install: nothing to wire into the controller and nothing to set up at the location. Then tell us which machine it's in and who should hear about it.
Which machines does it work with?
Any refrigerated vending machine: cold drinks, fresh food or combo, old or new, cashless or cash-only. The tag doesn't connect to the machine's controller or card reader, so the make, the model and the age don't matter. Frozen food machines aren't supported yet.
Does it replace my telemetry or card reader?
No, keep what you use today. Thermly watches temperature, not sales or inventory, and it doesn't wire into the controller, so it sits alongside your telemetry or cashless system.
What does it cost?
$10 per tag, one time. Then the service, per machine: $5/month billed monthly, or $50/year paid annually. The service covers the Thermly network, the app, the texts and the follow-up.
